MIVA ENLARGES EUROPEAN SENIOR MANAGEMENT TEAM

Appointments announced ahead of major new product launch by leading performance marketing network

London, UK, 6 September 2005. MIVA, Inc (NASDAQ: MIVA), the leading independent Performance Marketing Network, has today announced the appointment of Christopher Down as Head of European Technology, Joscelin Barnett as European Human Resources Director and Helen Goldberg as Senior Corporate Counsel, Europe.

Christopher has joined MIVA from credit rating agency, Standard & Poor's, where he worked for six years as head of European and Asian IT. At MIVA, Christopher leads a pan-European team working across internal IT, new product development and production operations for MIVA's data centres. He will also play a central role in the launch next month of MIVA's innovative new Pay-Per-Call* advertising model.

Joscelin leads a pan-European team at MIVA responsible for recruitment, development of new HR processes and the implementation of team member training programmes. She also manages MIVA's facilities management team in the UK. Joscelin has joined MIVA from Brindisa where she worked as HR Director. Other previous positions include a 12 year stint as International Director of HR at software solutions provider, SPL WorldGroup.

Helen has joined MIVA from law firm Baker & McKenzie, where she worked for seven years as an Associate then Senior Associate in the firm's London and Sydney offices. While at Baker & McKenzie, she specialised in corporate law, mergers and acquisitions and private equity in the technical, media and telecoms sectors. In her pan-European role at MIVA, Helen works alongside all departments advising on legal issues relevant to the European online advertising sector.
