MIVA launches custom branded toolbars for Dennis Publishing’s Maxim, Auto Express and PC Pro Brands

MIVA LAUNCHES CUSTOM BRANDED TOOLBARS FOR DENNIS PUBLISHING’S MAXIM, AUTO EXPRESS AND PC PRO BRANDS

Deal extends Dennis’ online presence beyond its websites

London, 31 August, 2005. MIVA, Inc. (NASDAQ: MIVA), the leading independent Performance Marketing Network, today announced Dennis Publishing as the first European distribution partner for its toolbar product. Under the agreement, MIVA will create custom branded toolbars for three of Dennis’ leading brands - Maxim, Auto Express and PC Pro.

Each toolbar will be customised to include the relevant Dennis Publishing brand logo as well as information specific to each of the brands’ individual online audiences. This information is designed to drive user retention and enable Dennis to promote its brand, content and services beyond its core websites. The Auto Express Toolbar, for example, will provide one-click access to content on ‘Car News’, ‘Road Tests’, ‘Route Finder’, ‘Traffic Information’, ‘Used Cars’ and ‘New Cars’. Each of the toolbars will also include a MIVA powered search facility and a ‘Weather’ link.

The toolbars form an extension to MIVA’s existing relationship with Dennis. MIVA has worked with the publisher since 2003 providing search and content driven paid-listings across a portfolio of 13 sites.

“The new toolbars will extend Dennis’ online brand presence, enabling us to connect with our users beyond our core websites whilst also providing an additional revenue stream to our online business,” commented Guy Sneesby, Managing Director, Dennis Interactive. “MIVA’s provision of an independent, white label product was a key factor in developing these toolbars as the design and functionality can be customised to seamlessly integrate with our existing online brands,” he continued.

The Auto Express Toolbar will launch on 1 September; the Maxim Toolbar and the PC Pro Toolbar will launch in Q1 2006. Each will be promoted via Dennis’ offline and online media through a campaign that will span advertising and email marketing.

In June 2005, Dennis Publishing’s web properties attracted 1.8m unique users and 31.7m page impressions.
