MIVA NAMES LAWRENCE HERMAN, VP SALES & BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT, MIVA Media, NORTH AMERICA

NEW YORK - January 9, 2007 - MIVA, Inc., (NASDAQ: MIVA), a leading online advertising network, today announced the appointment of Lawrence Herman as Vice President Sales & Business Development, MIVA Media, North America.

In this newly appointed role, Lawrence will be responsible for MIVA Media advertising and business development, reporting to Senior Vice President, North America, S. Brian Mukherjee. Lawrence brings more than fifteen years of executive management, financial consulting, and international business experience to his role at MIVA.

Before joining MIVA Lawrence was CEO of Clickstream Dynamics, where he conceived and created RevenueEngine (www.RevenueEngine.com) a highly automated distributed search feed. Clickstream Dynamics has a strategic business relationship with Common Ground Advisors, a New York based advisory firm, where Lawrence was Managing Partner. Previously, Lawrence was Managing Director at Business Development, LLC where he was responsible for international markets and operations.

Prior to Business Development, LLC Lawrence spent eight years in the Republic of Korea as General Manager of the Saehan Groups' (a division of the Samsung Group of Companies) Business Development and Planning Division. In this capacity, he oversaw projects ranging from television production and broadcast to manufacturing and international facility expansions. Earlier in his career, Lawrence worked in the Department of Research, Monetary and Financial Division at the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston.

Lawrence will be working out of the company's New York City offices.
