MIVA Announces New Distribution Partner Deals in Europe

Strong Momentum for First Four Months of Year Reflects Partners Embracing Company's Solutions for Web Monetization

NEW YORK - April 26, 2006 - MIVA, Inc., (NASDAQ: MIVA), a leading independent Performance Marketing Network, today announced the Company signed several new partner agreements in Europe during the past 120 days. Among the most significant:

  • An expanded deal with The Sun, the U.K.'s most popular newspaper¹.
    As well as continuing to display MIVA Pay-Per-Click Ads across thesun.co.uk, The Sun will also now adopt MIVA Mail to drive the delivery of targeted ads beyond its core website.
  • Newsports, a publisher of sports web sites in France, will now include MIVA Pay-Per-Click Ads on Sports.fr, sport4fun.com and football.fr.
  • The Company's first brandbar deal in Germany with the book reseller Jokers, which belongs to the publishing house Weltbild GmbH. MIVA builds custom branded toolbars for partners enabling, in this case Jokers, to extend their brand presence and connect with their users beyond their website.
  • A search and contextual deal with Spain-based publisher Groupo Hachette now sees MIVA Pay-Per-Click Ads across 19 of their online titles, including Elle and Elle Deco.
  • A contextual deal with Voyages-SNCF, the travel agency arm of the national rail service in France. Voyages-SNCF is one of the most well recognized brands and e-commerce sites in France.
  • A search and content deal with ISA, one of the biggest online media network's in Germany. The ISA is comprised of over 40 regional publishing houses and numerous vertically-specific classified ad portals, for example: real estate, jobs and automotive. Under the agreement, MIVA Pay-Per-Click Ads appear in ISA's classified ad portals such as markt.de as well as on various regional online newspapers.
  • eDintorni, an Italian-based European search engine.

At the same time as securing these distribution partners in Europe, MIVA was executing important strategic agreements with partners in the U.S. As previously announced, the Company landed agreements with Intellext and iCopyright in the U.S. in the past 60 days.
