MIVA'S ALOT TOOLBAR USER BASE TOPS 3MM ALOT toolbar user base continues to increase; ALOT toolbars now outnumber MIVA's legacy brand NEW YORK - July 15, 2008. MIVA Direct, Inc. the toolbar, homepage and content division of digital media company, MIVA, Inc., (NASDAQ:MIVA), announced a 26 percent increase in its ALOT toolbar user base over the past 16 days. On July 13, 2008 the total number of ALOT toolbar users was 3.4 million, a 26 percent increase over the 2.7 million ALOT toolbar users at June 27 this year. During the same period, MIVA Direct's overall toolbar user base grew to 6.7 million from 6.3 million, with ALOT toolbar users now outnumbering users of MIVA's legacy toolbar brand. ALOT also continues to out-monetize MIVA's legacy brand, delivering revenue per thousand live users (RPMLU) over 56% higher as well as consistently improved retention rates. "I believe we have reached an important milestone in the roll-out of our ALOT brand. Not only do ALOT toolbars now outnumber our legacy brand, but ALOT also continues to outperform our legacy brand in terms of both monetization and retention," commented Peter Corrao, MIVA's Chief Executive Officer. MIVA launched the ALOT toolbar brand in Q4 2007. Since launch, MIVA has continued to introduce new toolbar verticals. There are currently over thirty toolbar verticals available for download including music, reference, recipes and health.
