For those using Google Adwords...
Take a look at your clicks you are charged with.
Then take a look at your Urchin Navigation|Entrance Pages if you have
tagged your ads with something like /adwords so you can sift out the
click throughs off the ad.
Turns out a click recorded by Google on your ad does not always
culminate in a hit on your site and you still get charged for it.
I just did a small study from Apr 04 thru Dec 04 and found an avg loss
of clicks vs landings on the site at 13%.
In a nutshell they don't have a way to compare clicks to landings on
your site and you foot the bill for it.
I bet somebody could easily engineer a feedback loop much like the
Conversion to sale code, but that would suck 10 to 15% out of their
billions of dollars bottom line, eh ?
If I did my math right, that comes to about 450 million 15% of 3 billion
