Help with VC page templates please

What you need to doing is what I think of as "wrapping" a table. You start
the table with two columns (the left column will contain your dynamic cat
tree - the right column will be empty) in the Global Header. You will
actually "break" the table - leaving the final </td></tr></table> off and
adding it in the Global Footer to close the table.
