I have been trying to figure out how to get my web sites to properly
calculate FedEx freight rates to Canada. I have both Modstop's FedEx module
and Viking's Advanced FedEx module and neither one of these modules
calculates the freight on a regular basis. Every once in a while we get the
freight rates to show, no idea why.
I know the FedEx servers that process the freight all day long work ok
because we get the freight tickets any time we want them so my theory is
that the data is not being passed by the modules correctly so FedEx server
can pass the freight cost back. It may very well be that Miva is not
limiting the customer's data input correctly so the modules don't pass the
info to FedEx correctly. For example, you must enter the proper two letter
province abbreviation, postal code without spaces etc.
Running 4.24, OUI etc. Anybody out there got this to work? I can't believe
someone hasn't figured it out. I have been using these modules for several
years and nothing has improved.
What about anyone using a UPS advanced module? Does that work on Canadian
orders? We waste time every day manually looking up the freight and then
getting the customer's approval on it. We can't just flat rate it because
many of the freight charges are based on volume.
I would appreciate any comments.
