    Unable to authorize payment: D:Declined:NNNN:

Testing out the order processing for the first time.
I'm using linkpoint and first encountered the 4.22
module duplicate order number error. Fixed that with
the 4.23 module and now am receiving an error when I
run the transaction "Unable to authorize payment:
    D:Declined:NNNN:"

I've searched through the list archives and the web
and so far haven't been able to find any hits.

    Any help would be great.

That means they declined the transaction. :-)
Seriously. I'm not sure what the NNNN part is but
the D:Declined is a normal response for them.

The NNNN means it was an AVS mismatch -- probably the reason it was declined
      :)

I figured out it got declined :) The NNNN is what
throws me off. The credit card is using the correct
address, zip and CVV -so I'm not sure why it would be
lists "NN" as being a bad zip or address. Doesn't say
        anything about NNNN though.

I found one discussion on the web covering a similar problem. Turned out the
customer was trying to use a debit card. Dunno if this is the situation here,
          but it's all I can find. :)

I was also told by our Wells Fargo account rep that AVS is only accurate
            about 70% of the time!

                Unable to authorize payment: D:Declined:NNNN:

When I had a similar problem I searched the archive and found
references to recent linkpoint modules not handling AVS and ZIP
correctly. Many valid cards return XX, but a valid code in the 3rd
position. The Linkpoint module ignores that and only accepts YY. So
until either the Linkpoint module works correctly or AVS and ZIP work
nearer to 100%, there's little option but to not require AVS and ZIP
for Linkpoint. So much for security features.

                So here's a short rant:

Why isn't this problem in the Linkpoint and/or Miva FAQ's?

Why is it that so many Miva Linkpoint modules always seem to contain
elementary bugs, that in some cases persist for ages? This is
ECOMMERCE, not some spare time hobby software.

Yeah I know, preaching to the choir.

Global Meta Tags are not being overwritten by Product Meta Tags

                  Hello,

I filled in the global meta tags so they show up on every page. I wanted
each product to have specific keywords so I entered them into the product
                  meta tags.

I viewed the source of the page and it still shows the global? How can I
                  overwrite the global meta-tags?

                  Thanks!

                  Johnny

                      Linkpoint: AVS & Zip verification

So do all Linkpoint users NOT use AVS and Zip
verification? Seems like that would leave a lot of
                      room for card fraud?

                        Linkpoint: AVS & Zip verification

From what I understand, we get the codes FYI but all non-fraud or over
                        limit transactions are approved.
