    Paypal problems with 4.16

So, none of this is working--where do I go to find out how to do a full
restoration of the store? I don't recall seeing information in Miva about
how to restore the store from a backup--can anyone recall where that
    information is located?

      Paypal problems with 4.16

I'd like to restore store files from a backup.

What are my options? Does anyone know of
      a tutorial?

I've got the backup in a .tgz, I can extract
only the mivadata and save again as a .tgz.

      I'm on a PC--running Win98 or Linux 7.2 (dual boot)
I am nearly completely knowledge-free on Linux, however.
      (it's why I need a tutorial)

It's likely cause by having two forms within the same form tags. Use the
%beginform% and %endform% between each and you should be good to go.

I have just made a search form inside of one of my
        category templates.

When I reun it i get the error that store code "EPL,EPL"
        doesnt exist.

I certanly dont have it that way in the hidden form
element. Any thoughts as to why. Form below just for
        yucks.

          Leslie,

This is something we use internally and you should never see (it's
          preprocessed out).

If you can email me directly "off-list" with an example and where
specifically you are seeing it, I'll see what's going on.

What you need is Parent Accounts from Modstop.
            <A HREF ="http://www.modstop.com/store.mv?PROD=MIVA-PARENTACNT">http://www.modstop.com/store.mv?PROD=MIVA-PARENTACNT</A>

This recommendation goes with the caution that I don't think anyone has
seen or heard from Modstop in a while. Their payment processing is
still working, and the downloads work, but hopefully, it will install
and run, support seems to be a bit of an issue.

First this has happened. I contacted transedge.com and they swear they do
                not have adelphia.net filtered.

                Sounds like transedge.com doesn't like adelphia.net. :-)

passing order information from Flash to the Miva shopping basket

This can be done - it requires custome coding - but you just need to pass
over to Merchant all the attributes using the specified format.

I'm sorry I can't give you an easier way - maybe someone here could supply
                  you with some code ideas.

If you need this done with a custome quote, let me know.

Subject: [mru] passing order information from Flash to the Miva shopping
                  basket

I have a clothing business. My whole product selection is built in
Flash. I want to have it so a customer selects the size, quantity, color
and add to basket in the Flash product display and have the info pass
from Flash to the Miva shopping basket when they select add to basket.

As of now, I have my product display in Flash and when the customer
selects a shirt in Flash, it takes them to the Miva shopping basket side
where they then select size, qnty, color and then add to basket.

                  Please help!!

                      SantaFe Mall

There's definitely something going on between transedge.com and
adelphia.net. We've had the same problem a few months back - all email to
Luray was bouncing back. We contacted both Adelphia.net and Transedge.com
and eventually one of them admitted to filtering all email from the other
domain. Apparently both of these domain are well known to spammers and have
so many (spamming) clients that their automatic filtering systems kicking in
every now and then. Contacting both hostmasters of these two domains should
help in resolving this particular issue.

I remember seeing a website that had user reviews of hosting companies
that use Miva Merchant, does anyone have a link to it? God knows I wish
I had seen that site back before we went with the hosting company that
we have now (Hostway), so I want to give it to my friend before he picks
                        one.

                        TIA
