I'm stuck, in desperate need of help with product configuration

Thanks so much to those who privately responded with ideas. This list
      rocks!

For reference purposes for those who might want to know, the solution
while not exactly what I wanted did solve the problem. Emporium Plus'
module "Buy X Get X Free" did the trick. When clients buy 13 the 13th
(lowest priced) item is free, etc. etc.

Peace and happy 4th of July weekend.

      configuration

Hi Miva users, I am stuck and getting pretty frustrated here. I hope
that someone can please give me some direction, I don't know what else
      to try.

I have a store that sells to both consumers and retailers who buy
wholesale. I have setup price groups and availability groups which
      works like a charm.

However, we have created a few package deals that include multiple items
plus free stuff. For the life of me, after trying many different
possible ways to set these products up, I cannot figure out how to get
      it right.

      The products are like this:

PRODUCT #1 - Diver's Dozen which include 12 products from the regular
store at 50% off plus one free dive suit.
      This looks something like this:

      Code Size
      D101 medium
      D101 large
      D101 xl
      D200 small
      D200 medium
      D200 large
      D400 xl
      D400 2xl
      D600 small
      D600 medium
      D600 large
      D600 xl

PLUS - the Free offer is a drop down where they can select only ONE dive
      suit.

PRODUCT #2 - Diver's Twenty Four has double the above plus the need to
chose TWO free suits and PRODUCT #3 - Diver's Thirty Six has triple the
above plus the need to chose THREE free suits.

Currently, I am using 'inventory manager' by VikingCoder's which has
been awesome. Each product (ie "D101" is setup to have multiple
attributes (sizes, colors). I can't figure out the best way to put
these packages together where they included each of these items with
their respective attributes, plus the free item/s and automatically
deduct each of the items from the inventory.

      Please, please, please help.

      CH

        Multiple Currencies.

        Hello Daniel,

You can use OpenCurrencyT module it will display prices in multiple
currencies. Module works great and you can find it here
        <A HREF =/"http://www.openmodules.com//">http://www.openmodules.com/</A>.

        WORNING!
There is another module that claims to do the same thing (it can be =
        found at
ModStop). Do not buy that module it doesn't work and ModStop will not =
        help
you with it they want even return your money. I know it based on my =
        personal
experience with them. They newer replied to my e-mails nor did they =
        returned
my money as requested. I am still waiting for my bank to makes =
        chargeback.

        Thanks,

        Hi,
        =20
I am looking after a Miva store based out of Canada. Many of our
customers are in the US and Europe. Currently we display our pricing in
Canadian dollars. I think we are loosing out on US sales because our
prices appear to be high when in fact they are very competitive.
        =20
Does anyone have any suggestions on how to show multiple currencies or
how to let the customer pick which currency is displayed? I have seen a
couple of modules that will allow the customer to select the country
that they are in which updates the pricing accordingly. I haven't been
able to find a site that has implemented this module ... any URL's that
come to mind where I could see this in action? Any suggestions?
        =20

          Dan,

modStop and OpenModules both have currency modules, but I would get the one
          from OpenModules.

IMHO, it would have been a good idea to have some kind of autoresponse
to new tickets telling people this. ;-)

Hope the trip was enjoyable, though.

Edit the graphic offline with a graphics editor. Photoshop is probably
the editor of choice, however there are many graphics programs that can
                      do the task.

Adjust the size of the graphics t a suitable site, generally speaking -
anything larger that 200 px x 200 px will appear too large.

Once you have edited the graphic, upload it again.

Very nice video! And I guess that answers the question - the stack crap
remains in the link because that's what the module uses.

                        So
                        <A HREF ="http://www.pinkproducts.co.uk/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=CTGY&Offset=5&Category_Code=Al coholFavours&Previous_Stack_Depth=1&Previous_Stack _1=0">http://www.pinkproducts.co.uk/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=CTGY&Offset=5&Category_Code=Al coholFavours&Previous_Stack_Depth=1&Previous_Stack _1=0</A>

                        becomes something "like":

                        <A HREF ="http://www.pinkproducts.co.uk/page/pinkproducts/CTGY/alcoholfavours/Offset/"value"/Previous_Stack_Depth/2/Previous_Stack_1/"value"">http://www.pinkproducts.co.uk/page/pinkproducts/CTGY/alcoholfavours/Offset/"value"/Previous_Stack_Depth/2/Previous_Stack_1/"value"</A>

Still would be cool if it could do:
                        <A HREF ="http://www.pinkproducts.co.uk/page/pinkproducts/CTGY/alcoholfavours/p2">http://www.pinkproducts.co.uk/page/pinkproducts/CTGY/alcoholfavours/p2</A>

A cheapo approach focused exactly on what you asked for would be Digital
Resizer from IceGiant (www.icegiant.com). You can't beat the cost (free to
process up to 30 images at a time - $10 for an unlimited license) and it
processes full directories of files at a time. I'd try it out on a few
images at a time until you nail down the best percentage reductions for your
needs. It's clearly not the full featured type of graphics product that
others have mentioned but sometimes simpler is better.

BTW, if you buy the license, take a look at their alternate $17 deal which
appears to unlock all of their products.

I am playing around with getting my store established in Miva using the
wizards. I have a couple of product images that I've uploaded, but the
images are way too big. When you click on the image in the storefront,
it takes up the entire page. What is the best method to reduce the size
of the image so that when customers click on the image it doesn't take
                          up the whole page?

Just checked some links in Yahoo to pages created by SEK2, and they are full
                            of
                            "

Deactivate your existing CC payment module, pack the store, then
                              re-enable it and pack again.

The last payment module added will be the one on top.

                              Hi,

Just installed SimplePaymnet from Viking Coders in out Merchant store,
since we needed "Net 30 days authorized" as a payment option...

Is there a way to push this option to the bottom of the list of
available payment options? It's currently gone to the top, replacing our
                              preferred default of CC...

(Also, tried renaming the option and that doesn't seem to do it...)

                              TIA

As some of you know I have been in the process of selling my house
                                in

San Diego and moving to some property in Missouri. For those of you who
                                did

                                not know, you do now.

The best made plans do not always work out. I have been driving back
                                and

forth moving things for about the last 4 weeks. Two weeks prior to that
                                I

was back in Arkansas and Missouri looking for property. I have been on
                                the

road for about the last 6 weeks or so. I had things all set up so when
                                I

got here: phones, Internet, Dish TV, electricity and such, all would be
                                up

and working at the end of my final trip.....well that did not happen.

Also In the process of moving I had to switch from Sprint for my

cellular service to Cingular, that has not been a smooth transition
                                either.

To top it all off, I am unable to retrieve messages from the old office

phone number, Sprint is working on it.

I have temporary phone lines running across the property. They
                                should

be hooked up today sometime. I got access to the Internet late Saturday

night and got the computers working last night. I currently have
                                Internet

access though Direcway Satellite (no DSL or Cable out here). My new
                                numbers

will be listed at the bottom of this email. My Cell phone does not work

here at the property (it does about a quarter mile away). The old 619

number will still be used for now.

There will be some information about the 30 acres I bought along
                                with

I do not yet have an after hours emergency number. I hope to have

I downloaded. I will get to them as soon as I can. If it is urgent

the email. If you have left me a voicemail in the last week, please

an email about what you left the voicemail for. I am not sure when I

be able to retrieve my voicemail messages. If anyone on the lists has
                                been

trying to get a hold of me, please send me and email.

Please disregard my question. Got it figured out (they've changed some

things in the 3.05 version of the commerce library).

I seem to never get things solved late at night.

                                Hi all,

Anyone know why the Verisign commerce library isn't working? It's been a

while since I've used it, any for some reason I'm not getting it to

work. Using latest version of the VM. I seem to remember someone saying

on the list that it had to do with an expired Verisign certificate (?).

The same code used to work in a previous VM version.

I'm not getting any error output when calling the commerce library

                                either.

                                Any help would be appreciated.

                                Ben
