[ahh, my favorite part of the day lately. coffee, watch the fish, give
the fat cat a treat, while the mean woman still sleeps. wondering if all
that time I spent programming remote controls, automating lights, and
generally making all my toys waf acceptable so we could finally both
relax and watch a cool french action movie was worth it..]

Total post count is a bit down, but that won't last long, and unique
users are looking good!

People don't have time to post. They are doing more important things
like going to the beach/pool/garage sales. Besides, the current
speculating on the merchant-users list is much more intriguing. What
are the motives behind the recent acquistion? Are 3rd party developers
being squeezed out? I wonder if Miva is hiring any more developers.

The working in San Diego scenario was ruled out a few years ago.

1) I live at the beach on a barrier Island in Jupiter Florida. It don't
get any better than this; not even San Diego.

2) My lifestyle would not be able to handle the decrease in revenue
stream.

3) My office is not in a fixed structure. It is where my laptop and
cell phone are located. That could be the local beach, Hollywood Calif,
Las Vegas NV, Washington DC, Biloxi MS, Disney World, or any of the
other places I frequent. I work from those locations much more often
than any company could reasonably provide vacation time for.

Now if they are buying software, they know my phone number. ;-)

The funniest thing is, even if the supposed end results occur, the logic of
the "conspiracy" is still totally baseless.

Simply put, James Harrell is a more valuable commodity as an employee than
CBS's modules. They hired James, and I suppose, although this is conjecture,
the bought his modules as just one part of the hiring agreement. Not much
different than a company hiring someone and then buying their house so they
can relocate...did that company hire the person so they can make money off
the real estate? No. Will they sell the house for a lose? Only if their
stupid.

nice to have a forum to vent amongst folks that actually have some
