We have been having problems with temp files of the type
MV_FUP00000001.dat in
the Mivadata root directory. (As in I just had to delete 20 of them
totallyng
140MB which caused the client to run out of disk quota).
I understand they are the temp files used to store uploads until the upload
handler functions can deal with them, and I am guessing that they have
been left
behind because the upload fails in some way.
Questions - should Empresa be cleaning these up in some way, or after some
time?
- Have there been any improvements in handling temp files since 3.97?
- Once an upload fails, if the user tries again, is there any chance of a
RESUME happening and the temp file being used with the upload being
restarted
from whence it broke off? (the only thing which would justify the files
being
left lying around).
Does Miva, perchance keep an index of these files?
In the meantime, I guess I'd better just write a script to kill any of
them more
than a day old.
