    QB and Shipping Manager

QB offers a Shipping Manager BUT they only offer a straight integration with FedEx. What do you use foir shipping your orders? Is it a manual process or is it integrated to QB?

We use Stamps.com, designed for those that use the US Postal Service BUT is a separate process because is not integrated to QB.

Intuit (QB company) said that in order for them to invest time to integrate Stamps.com to its Shipping Manager they had to receive enough interest from others.

If you use the US Postal Service for shipping your orders, please Click on the QB "Give us Feedback" option under the Related Activities within the your Company Navigator and let them know you are interested in using Stamps.com in their Shipping Manager.

If you need information concerning Stamps.com, go to their website, you get like $80.00 worth of stuff when you sign up. Just go to <A HREF =/"http://www.stamps.com/freepostage. If you sign up, go ahead and use the following code C-5BZM-GTB, it will reward us a small amount for referring you/">http://www.stamps.com/freepostage. If you sign up, go ahead and use the following code C-5BZM-GTB, it will reward us a small amount for referring you</A>.

But remember, more inportant than signin up is to send the Feedback to QB.

    Bob,

This is the way we are currently using it, Stamps.com uses the addresses from QB and after we print the Shipping Label (with the postage) we then go to the Stamps.com History (just a different tab), copy the eDelivery Confirmation and paste it into the customer's QB invoice before QB sends it via e-mail. Stamps.com can also send a separate message of the Del. Conf. but by copying it to QB we ensure is with the customer's invoice in case we need it later.

This process is saving us a lot of time.

It would even be better if Stamps.com was FULLY integrated (using Stamps.com without leaving QB), that's why we need Miva Synchro's to use QB's feedback feature to let them know you would like the integration to be done. The more feedbacks they receive about this the more likely we will see the fully integration in the near future...

    Elaine,

Thanks for the info on Stamps.com. If the QB address book is already integrated, we will give them a try.
The USPS labels are taking way too much time in our operation.

Thanks for your inputs. STAMPS.com is already trying to integrate to QB, they already integrated the Address Book.

As of right now I see Stamps.com closer to integrating to QB than any of the private services.

    Elaine,

For UPS shipping, ShipRush does a very nice job of integrating with
    QuickBooks.
The USPS integration is a problem. Endicia claims that QuickBooks
integration with their USPS product is coming through a third party
    called OZ Development.

The USPS offers free software called Shipping Assistant that integrates
with the QuickBooks address book, but it prints only labels without
    postage.

The best hope for USPS/QuickBooks integration would be from one of:
ShipRush, Endicia/OZ, the USPS, or a new third party. It would be
doubtful that Intuit would really invest in it, given the broad range of
capabilities they need to worry about.

Stamps.com is ok but not as powerfull as Endicia.com (Dazzle) Mac or PC
If you have QB addresses, synchro it to Outlook and Dazzle will find it
      then create
the labels. You have to refresh Dazzle from the database by closing it if
      you entered a
new address. I used it with Media mail. Just the best at there!!! Much
      better than UPS
      online and faster.
