    Assembly Item Problem

Many of the items we sell are assembled, and we finally got the Quickbooks
upgrade that will allow us to track inventory on assembled items. The
trouble is, these items will not synch. When we made the changes in
Quickbooks, I reconnected the connector module and did a full product scan
to reconnect the products. This appeared to work fine. But then as the
orders started coming in, Synchro would just quit whenever it encountered an
order with an assembly item. My question is this: Is it possible to get Miva
Synchro to work with assembly items in the future? If not, can you at least
get it to where it will just skip an order with assembly items and go on to
the next one rather than just quitting?

    Assembly Item Problem

    Hi Tiffany,

Can you give me more of an idea of what you mean by "assembled items"? I'm
not familiar with that terminology. Miva Synchro will only synch QuickBooks
items that are of the "Inventory Part and Non-Inventory Part" types. I'm not
sure if maybe you are trying to do these as other item types. More info
would be helpful so I can figure out what's going on.

    Thanks.

      Hello,

Miva Synchro will only add Inventory and Non-Inventory parts from QuickBooks
into Miva Merchant. Group items in QuickBooks are not added to Miva Merchant

        Hi Tiffany,

Thanks for the explanation. I haven't personally gotten to play with
QuickBooks 2004 Premier yet, so I wasn't aware of that new feature. I'll
        have a chat with Development.

Thank you for your quick response. Quickbooks Premier allows you to enter a
new type of inventory item called an "inventory assembly." It is similar to
a group item in that it takes a number of inventory parts and puts them
under one name, the difference is that you can specify a price and link it
to accounts the way you would a regular inventory item. We have a few group
items as well, and so far as I know have been able to synch those in the
past, even though they are not specifically an "inventory part or
non-inventory part." That is why I am hoping synching the assembly items is
possible, i.e., not limited by Quickbooks.

            Thanks.
