After downloading and installing Miva Synchro v9, and attempting to run
Miva Synchro, it ran into a windows problem (i.e. one of those "please
tell Microsoft about this problem"). No log files were generated or =
had
anything in them from this problem.
=20
I tried to cut/paste more info, but nothing in that dialog box or the
details would allow a cut/paste (e.g. all the dll's used, etc). This =
is
all I was able to copy:
=20
AppName: synchro.exe AppVer: 1.0.0.1 ModName: unknown
ModVer: 0.0.0.0 Offset: 00390488
=20
Then, after Miva synchro died, quickbooks could not be closed because =
it
said another user had the company file open. I had to kill quickbooks.
This can be quite a risky procedure with quickbooks!
=20
Any ideas?
=20
I think it might have something to do with the timing / synching of =
miva
syncro with the actual miva store admin. I did have some firewall
software installed that requests a manual approval for certain software
connections to the internet. It looked like that, along with the
permission given to allow the Quickbooks access via synchro might have
caused the problem?
=20
Also, when I did a re-install of Miva Synchro, instead of just =
replacing
what was there from v8, I started out with a clean slate so it was
essentially a new install and not an update, whether that makes a
difference or not? The 2nd (install) time around, I was able to get
everything to work.
