    Category Page problems

Using the point and click stuff on the admin for the category page design looks like it should be really easy, but as far as I can tell, any change I make disables the product thumbnails. Are other people having this problem?

I believe I have the each inventory item with the main image of additional images selected. The pictures are, for the most part, up already.

I'd pull the old category page template from my old site, but I don't imagine that it would work.
Thank you in advance for your patience with me.

    Re: Category Page problems

If a page element is customized, in Advanced mode, beyond what the Point & Click features can do (which it probably has been, if it's in advanced mode), then putting it into Point & Click mode and updating the element will undo that customization. Your mention of "Main Image" sounds like you're using Bootstrap? Once an element is in Advanced mode it should generally be left that way for the custom changes to remain.

Unless you're referring to the limited amount of "point and click" options available underneath the Advanced mode code area? Those should work fine, though if that's the case do make sure that the Main Image Image Type is selected in the Custom Fields list.

      Re: Category Page problems

If I go back to the original bootstrap version of the category layout it works. The original category display only has two products displayed. But ANY change, even the custom-fields or pagination bits, which are on the basic page, breaks the image display. I've looked at the div CSS to see if the size of the div was affecting it, but that doesn't seem to be the issue.

I will be satisfied with a very simple category page. I need the pictures to show up and I need to be able to have more than two of them on the page.

I've seen things like this before but it's tough to say what the problem could be without examining the page in the admin. Would you mind opening a support ticket for this? You can email [email protected] and put "Attn: Kyle" in the subject so it gets assigned to me, with a description of the problem and a link to your store.

        Thanks!

I just noticed you actually had sent in a ticket for this yesterday. I'm taking a look for you now.
