CTGY Image Machine Thumbnails not working

If I leave the Category Product List Layout Pagination setting to what the Bootstrap Framework applies (2 per page), the Image Machine thumbnails appear as expected. If I try to change that setting and only that setting to something else, the thumbnails product disappear. I'm not noticing any changes being made to the Category Product List Layout template (like changing the &mvte:product:imagetypes:main; token). I am baffled by it.

Any clues?

Is the main image still assigned after you make the change?

Funny thing, when I change the Pagination the checkbox that Product Images: Main Image disappears. The custom field remains though. I'll shoot you an email.

I'd like to follow up on this in case anyone else does what I did. I had the Image Machine assigned to the CTGY page. From Brennan:

When this item is assigned, the ability to select the product image section on the page is removed because Image Machines JavaScript takes over and controls which images are displayed.

Brennan's rule of thumb:

The image machine only needs to be assigned to a page when you need the multiple image/swatch functionality, otherwise it should never be assigned.

I have somehow lost the CTGY page thumbnails. I have no idea where they went or how to get them back. I have reverted all code back to the Updated by Framework 'suivant-readytheme' version. I do not have any image machine assigned. Any ideas?

What worked for me was recalling an older version of the "Category Display" text ( the first box on the page) and then updating the category page then recalling my desired version and then updating the page again.

Unfortunately that did not work. I think this has something to do with installing the Sebenza Category Template module, even though it has been disabled and unassigned from the CTGY page. I had to install it to use its QUICKADD feature on another page. I would uninstall it to test the theory but Miva will not allow me to remove the module.

I'm having really odd issues as well. Actually, I have the image machine working flawlessly on other sites, but I've noticed at times the image machine won't function at all unless I actually call the image machine items in via their custom fields. There has to be some 3rd party module that is messing with things here. I have 3 sites right now, all using freshy v9 installs, all with one of Miva's themes and the image machine is not working properly on ANY of them.

And this isn't my first clambake either. I'm going to go through and see if there is a common denominator between them all, but has anyone else seen this? Even reverting back to all previous template versions doesn't help.

Hmmmm, I cannot figure out a module between them all that would cause issue, but I believe the sites I'm having issues with now, the general theme is I IMPORTED the images into their image type field. On one of the sites I was having issues with, I see some work, and some don't. The only thing I can think is I did a mass import for most, but the client has been playing around with others on his own. It seems those he "manually" uploaded via the admin work, those that have been imported don't work.

Probably not what some of you are experiencing, but odd none-the-less. I suspect I'm just overlooking something simple.

So I further tested this out and that also does not seem to be the problem. So I'm at a loss. I'll open a ticket and will post whatever issues are uncovered for others.

Brennan, I spoke in depth with Victor (I think that was it, I'm embarrassed I can't recall his name, because when he said it I was glad it was him knowing he's on the ball) and opened a ticket. He's supposedly looking into it now. I have 3 or 4 stores that are all doing the same thing. Oddly enough, it works in a couple of stores, and it doesn't work in others. I'm beginning to think it may be a permissions issue? Either way, if you look up the newest ticket created by me, you should be able to not only see on the front end, but get access and see what's going on in the backend as well.

Hello there,

I'm experiencing the same issue as aarcmedia but with "Levels" Readytheme. Where it's mentioned that there are some that were manually uploaded versus those that were imported into their image type field, that's what's happening with me.

How was this resolved for aarcmedia?
