Search Custom Fields

Using the Default search in Miva 9 Ready Themes if I want to limit a search results to only bring up products with certain data contained within certain custom field data, is this possible?

I assume you mean on the shopping side? No, the default search in V9 is identical to previous versions.

You could probably fake something by using the PLST display, feed it a 'search term' (i.e., custom field value) and within the product loop do a conditional for each of the custom fields, showing products for only those matches...

HOWEVER, that would be pretty slow...PowerSearch will do this btw (i believe)

A custom module could do this really fast.

Yes, I have powersearch, but I was hoping to save time by not configuring it. Thanks for the advice.
