The ReadyTheme Navigation Set Edit Navigation Item is limited to adding a child child navigation. Is there any way to take it at least one more level down? I'm guessing this is going to need to go to the beg list.

Only if you code the menu (and subsequent CSS files) on your own or use another Menu widget....but sure, add it to the beg list. That being said, doing a three (actually four) level deep menu on mobile isn't going to be the greatest UX which probably why they stopped at 3.Bruce Golub
