While trying to do some tweaking to the Mini-Basket Template, I noticed something intriguing with the way it's called in some locations. It leads me to ask why is the global_minibasket item in a ReadyTheme Content Sections mini_basket. Since it's "Name" is Extension: Global Mini-Basket does that mean there are more great things to come for this?

I think i can answer part of the question. Putting the Mini-basket in the ReadyTheme verses using the Mini-basket template under User Interface | Settings is simply a way of packaging it up for the ReadyTheme instead of having to overwrite or manually change the Settings Mini-Basket template...if that's what you where asking.Bruce Golub

Hi Leslie,
Some native elements, like the mini-basket, are being used as ReadyTheme elements for the ease of editing and changing between functionality. Are you asked, yes, there are other mini-basket layouts in the works. You can check out some of the proposed extensions here: https://github.com/mivaecommerce/Extensions/projects/1Matt Zimmermann
