Colossus Theme and PageBuilder

Hi,

Bit of a strange one.

On my dev store I'm redesigning our current site in colossus. Which to me seems to be the most up to date readytheme. I've already spent many hours working on it.

I struggled to get page builder to work, and support have told me that it doesn't work with colossus.

Now I'm confused. Is Colossus not the most up to date theme?

The most up to date ReadyTheme is Shadows 10.06. All new installs of Miva load with it. You should also have it available in your store.

Page Builder will indeed work with Colossus. It takes a little work on your part to add it. Take a look at these docs https://docs.miva.com/miva10/referen...to-pagebuilder

FWIW I have no idea what "Genesis" or "Genesis-based template" is (as mentioned in the docs). Perhaps there is a new ReadyTheme on the horizon.

Thank you Leslie. It's not clear on the Miva app store that Colossus isn't the newest readytheme version, maybe they should make that clear.

And then on the link you supplied it's not clear to me how to make it work either. Not your fault I know! I've got a support ticket for that now in progress.

I prefer the facet navigation on colossos vs shadows and prefer many of the other features. I also like page builder as it makes it easier for our team to make new pages without getting their head round the code.

I just read elsewhere that a new version of Colossus is due, anyone know when?

I have page builder working just fine with Colossus so if you're stuck I'm happy to help.

The biggest gotcha for me was needing to create and upload the XML for Sequence Header/Footer and Assign the flex/sequence items to the page. It sort of took a couple of times around it. When I quit trying to "understand" it and just "did" it. It worked. Then I was able to play around with it a bit.
