    Readytheme Home Page Category Blocks

We are currently using the Levels readytheme for our Miva 9 website. The home page category "blocks" built into this theme are simply created from uploaded images only.

For SEO purposes, we want to replace the image only category block, with a div that utilizes either a background or standard image with overlayed paragraph text, and possibly smaller graphics to display on top of the image.

I have found a few different options to make this change; however, before I spend a lot of time rebuilding the page, I would like some direction on what the most SEO friendly / mobile friendly was to do this should be. Any help or direction on this would be greatly appreciated.

The simplest way to accomplish this would be to replace the ReadyTheme image tags with ReadyTheme content sections. If you create a section for each of the promotion blocks, you can add any content you would like in there. You will need to add styling to make them looks like you want, but they will retain their responsiveness so they will still be mobile friendly.

Thank you for your prompt response. I will definitely proceed with making the proper miva changes using content sections for each of the "blocks"

My main concern though, is what the proper way to create and style the individual div sections to allow the paragraph text and a graphic to overlay on top of the background image (or regular image if possible?), in a way that the background image is responsive and everything stays in center alignment when viewed on a mobile device.

Is using a standard image with absolute positioning for the text and graphics to be overlayed the best option?

That should be a fine option.
