Got this to work finally! I uploaded the CSS and JS files through the CSS/Javacript Resources section of Miva admin. Code for both files was x-carousel. Then used the link from the tag attributes of that section and loaded the link into the head for the CSS (without the closing link tag on the CSS), and the link for the js above the closing body tag.

Did everything else the same as the doc at http://docs.miva.com/readytheme-shad...ml#hero-slider

    Something so simple!

Now on to the bells and whistled...

    Hope this helps others.

WHere's the carousel for shadows 2? The link at the top of this thread goes to a page not found. I also don't see carousel or slider in the extensions menu in the css guide.

A carousel script is no longer bundled with Shadows. With how quickly advancements are made in scripting and functionality, I felt it was better to lighten the load of the extensions and let developers choose one for themselves.

I figured it was something like that, no worries, bx slider is super easy to use and is already implemented since I asked the question a few minutes ago :)

Hey Matt, the carousel is still mentioned in the docs
The framework is designed to be used as a foundation for building custom websites or your own ReadyThemes. While the core of the framework is a tested, CSS base, we also include quality tested JavaScript functionality and extensions like tabs, accordions, carousels, and more.
            https://docs.miva.com/readytheme-shadows/

With that said what about a product carousel similar to what Levels has?

And yes, the BX slider was "easy" to implement for the Hero Slider.

              Hi Leslie,

Oops, thanks for noticing that; I'll get that edited. In general, carousels are on the list, just not sure where as it is becoming a pretty decent sized list.

Point of clarification. When you said
used the link from the tag attributes of that section and loaded the link into the head for the CSS
Could you detail out the steps your please?

What I did (and I'm not sure it's what you meant), was after I created the x-carousel CSS file, I then highlighted it, clicked the 3 dots and selected "Resource Groups", then assigned it to head_tag.

For the javascript file, after I created the x-carousel JavaScript file, I highlighted the file, clicked the 3 dots and assigned the footer_js

Now to see if I can get it to work

I actually uploaded to the CSS and JavaScript section of the admin. Then, since it was only for the SFNT page, I inserted the js and css within the SFNT page template.

                    Hope that helps!

Ahh, okay - I uploaded via the admin but I used Resource Groups.

The CSS seems to be working as a place holder but the script isn't firing.

Did you try uploading it to just the scripts folder (mm5/scripts/00000001/roundabout.js) on your server. That may make a difference.

It's running now. Just had to change the script path. Thanks!
