    Dev Site Cart Empty issue

I swear I just saw this recently posted. When testing in a dev site (no SSL) I can add to the cart from the PROD page (the mini-basket slides out, shows it has been added, and the count updates). If I click away from the PROD page the cart empties. Is this a session issue with the dev site configuration?

All of the links in the Domain Site Configuration have http (but the Link to all pages using HTTPS is checked). Also, the URI Management does not have a Secure URL Prefix configured. Is there an example of how to correctly configure a dev site for testing?

My first thought and the first place I'd look: If it's a free developer store, go to the dev site control panel and make sure that the SSL is enabled. The configure for complete HTTPS in the store. If it's dev copy of the store you can use a self-signed SSL to configure th store for HTTPS(in Domain settings).

Then, of course, all the template code needs to reflect the secure URL.

It's not a free developer store and interesting, I've never used a self-signed SSL for dev copy of a store. I may need to get support to through one in (if needed).

I would also double-check all the cookie and security token setting on the site.

I found it. EVERYTHING has to be HTTPS - even the Base URL for Graphics - thanks everyone.
