Shadows 2.01.00 has been released as part of the Miva 10.01.00 release. This maintenance release addresses all issues contained in Milestone v2.01.00

Are there any risks of adding new framework as a branch and affecting current store HTML title tags, etc?

Software is aware of the concern, but I do not have any further information than that at this time.

Are there plans to improve the "Insights" for Shadows 2.x? The numbers in these tests seem to be the bane of every SEO company I have dealt with. Some of them are becoming quite arrogant about it too. FWIW, I have a site that is a meld of Bootstrap some very simplified coding that is getting better "test" results than the latest demo of Shadows.

Are you referring to using Google PageSpeed Insights? If so, the Shadows demonstration site achieves a mobile score of 95 and a desktop score of 93. I will be working on some of the aspects to better accommodate for the new web vitals, but I feel I will never reach 100.

Yes - when I test it, it didn't do so well with the tools I have been told to use. I have Lighthouse in my browser plus I still use the Lighthouse page along with the Pagespeed Insights. I didn't take screenshots this morning because I have noticed that the results can vary WILDLY throughout the day. That concerns me because we never know when Google will take its "snapshot". The numbers are better now. But Google is really hammering on the CLS. Next time I get the lower numbers, I'll screenshot them and send them to you. Hopefully, Colossus 2.0 will be out super soon too :;)) - thanks Matt!

One more question - how can I get the latest version of Shadows to add to a store that can't update yet? And if I apply the pkg will it overwrite the current version of Shadows or will it install as an additional framework?

Hi Leslie,

Shadows is only available through the software and not as an external file like previously. Your best bet is to wait until the site is updated and start development then unless the site has an existing development site that is updated. In that case, you could use Shadows DE and MMT to create the site there and then apply it to the original site once it is upgraded.
