Checkbox Attribute - Checked on load, Doesn't Update Price

I have a product setup with a Checkbox attribute that is Checked by default. (Custom coding in Attribute Template)
That attribute has a +$5.00 charge.
However, unless the form itself is 'touched' i.e., selecting another attribute or adding/updating, the price display does not update to reflect the additional pricing.

Hi Bruce,

If you check it via JavaScript on page load, as opposed to using the "checked" attribute, the pricing should update.

Already tried that. Did not work. Will try again. Don't know if its been updated, but that script really should also fire on page load running through all inputs. While trival for me to add this, one would expect the behavoir to work out of boxy
