Does the Payment Method Extension also work with the Credit Card payment option when using PayPal Commerce?

If so, what parts of the JavaScript would be needed to integrate into an older theme like Suivant?

If its a pain to integrate, (this may be a dumb question) will Credit Card payments still work with PayPal Commerce when not using the card detection?

The payment method extension is for use with standard payment modules like AuthNet that do not go off-site for processing. It should not be working if the payment method is Paypal.
