The dust has finally cleared after the release of Wombat (PR7) Miva Merchant. It's been seven months since I posted feature updates about the Emporium Plus Tool Kit in this forum. Most recent module updates have been made in some of the 100+ other modules we author. Only one significant new feature has been added to the Tool Kit, but it is worth publicizing. That feature is Simple Search. While it does not have some of the advanced features of Power Search or expensive hosted search solutions, it does greatly enhance your store's internal site navigation without a module other than the Emporium Plus Tool Kit. See item #111 at http://www.emporiumplus.com/go/wcw/PROD/1AA/1AA00223 for an overview of Simple Search and links to live examples and full "copy and paste" page code to implement Simple Search for category, product list, and search pages (or any page for that matter).
There are dozens of functions and features in the Tool Kit. You can go to http://www.emporiumplus.com/go/wcw/PROD/1AA/1AA00223 and start from the bottom to see the newest functions which have been added. If you don't have the Tool Kit, you can get it at this page. If you already have it and need an update, the update page is at http://www.emporiumplus.com/go/wcw/PROD/1AA/1AA00223U The new Simple Search feature alone is well worth the update cost if you don't have an advanced search feature in your store already. Have your previous order number and Merchant url available as they are required for the update. The domain must be the same in the original and update orders, as the license is not transferable. An update license purchase is needed for each domain you are updating. If your last paid update of the Tool Kit was less than 60 days ago, contact me via the question link in my sig below with the most recent order number for the domain you are updating.
As implied in my post about the Tool Kit 7 months ago, there is a modest price increase for the Tool Kit. This is the first price increase since May 2008 and is only a few dollars, making the Tool Kit still far less costly than similar modules which have far less features.
If you are following us on Facebook or Twitter, I frequently post updates (minor and major) there. So if you don't want to wait several months to see what's new in community forum posts, add us to your social networks.
