PayPal DOS happening now?

It would appear that PayPal is being hit with a DOS attack (likely due to wikileaks folks) at this moment. Maybe its not them - but in anycase, PayPal is Sloooowww....

We had to switch 5 separate stores over to simple processing as an emergency measure.

This is effecting Payments Pro. Not sure about anything else.

Yea, I couldn't log into my paypal account for awhile. But was able to get on a few minutes ago.

Hi, in case anyone hasn't heard the news, yup, it's a Wikileaks thing. Paypal, Visa, and MC have all dropped Wikileaks' account. And Mr. Assange, or more likely his fans, retailated with DOS attacks on all three sites. I suppose there may be more such crimes before things settle down; merchants might want to keep their backup payment modules on line for a while.

That's life in the 21st century ...

My vote is charge everybody caught doing this with terrorism, expedite conviction, and hang them at sunset. Preferably before Christmas this year.

So does this affect all stores / forms of payment?

Should we be using CC with Simple Validation?

Today was a really slow day - but I use the www.emporiumplus.com lost and found users module, as well as the restock shelves module, and I DON'T see an unusually high number of abandoned carts / orders - so maybe it is just a slow day?!?!?!

On Thursday there were some issues with an outage for Time Warner Cable customers, don't know how much of this played into anything either. But I did have folks telling me they couldn't access their stores.
