Thanks for the reply. We don't use the Shipping SuperMod. We do have our default weight set to pounds in the main settings and USPS Advanced module. Does that need to be ounces (meaning I would have to redefine the weight of every product from fractions of a pound to ounces)?

I'm set to pounds so that probably is not your problem. I am using the shipping super mod.

Suddenly, everything is working. I had put in a support ticket with emedia yesterday, so I assume they went in to admin and addressed the issue for me. No more greyed out options!

Hi Beamer,

I don't know what happened. All of a sudden I got an order with first class package shipping and when I checked admin, First Class Mail Package was no longer greyed and had been selected. I didn't do it, so I have no other explanation.

FWIW though, First Class Mail Flat is still greyed out and unselectable.

It does sound that way. Fortunately, we don't use Flats, but it sounds like a critical issue to you. I hope you find a solution soon. I know this has been a frustrating week for a lot people!

Hi,

We've just published one more update:
- v4c and v5 modules have been updated
- The latest update fixes some HTML issues surrounding USPS method names
- Also to avoid confusion, users are no longer allowed to map disabled shipping methods as doing so previously caused conflicts

James I performed the update and it cleaned up the UI, but First Class Flats show disabled and this is a valid class of mail we use. I just checked USPS's website for this.

I just performed a test run on USPS's rate calculator and was able to get flats so it should still be in the method:
