    Hi Bill: That's for the fix confirmation.
    And thanks again for the pioneering instruction and tips you gave the forum on getting FB apps up and running!

      Step 2 css in a mmui store

      I'm trying this for my mmui store-

      Does the css code simply go into the headtag content/css just like it is shown?

      Thank you
      Tio

        Re: Easily integrate your Miva Merchant into Facebook

        My guess is you would not use any css. You have to format the table width like you do in all the other MMUI pages.

          Re: Easily integrate your Miva Merchant into Facebook

          Hello FB developers:
          I now have created 3 usable FB apps and I have added them to our three site's FB pages.
          Now I would like to understand how I can have some of my friends and business associates add these apps to their FB pages.

          Since my apps still are not indexed by FB, how would this be done?

          Thanks, Larry

            Re: Easily integrate your Miva Merchant into Facebook

            Are you wanting to have your full store inside your affiliates' FB pages? That sounds interesting if that is what you are talking about. It might get confusing to the customer if they start out at the weber grill site and end up buying at rvparksupplies. I don't think I saw anything about FB rules saying affiliates can't advertise other peoples' products, but you might want to check that. Since Google does not index the FB pages beyond the first level, you probably won't get hit with duplicate content, unless Google/FB change that policy. Seems like FB likes Bing though, so probably not.

              Re: Easily integrate your Miva Merchant into Facebook

              Hi Bill: Correct. Having our store on our affiliates FB page is what I'm thinking about.
              We would be using RV Park associations as our affiliates so that the confusion issue won't apply. It would be a service or enhancement to the RV Parks associations FB page where they provide our site to their visitors who need products for their business.

              I haven't totally thought this thru yet and don't know if this is a realistic idea
              and am not quite sure as to how to implement it so I welcome any input/ideas about how feasible it is.

                Got our dedicated SSL this morning and now our Miva MMUI site is running without throwing a security violation on the site's FB page. You can see it at
                www.facebook.com/RvParkSupplies
                by clicking on the "Shop Here" tab.

                Bill, thanks a ton for your help with this, Larry

                  Nice job. Now if we could get the other 10-20 thousand miva merchant stores in there, miva merchant would be a dominant player among the shopping cart choices.

                    Thanks Bill: I couldn't have gotten our FB apps up without you.

                    I can help with some of those MMUI stores. The template code I'm using for my FB MMUI app is available to anyone who "Likes" my FB page at:
                    www.facebook.com/pages/Orange-Traffic-Cones/138094319587939

                    I've provided it to Dan (Datagg) and am waiting to see if it proves useful to him.

                    Thanks again, Larry

                      Hi Bill: More questions about this.
                      I want to pass a URL &variable from miva1fb.php to the CTGYFB module so I can control how the Category <select is built. I know how to get the variable into the URL in miva1fb.php but am looking for the best way to extract it from the URL in CTGYFB. I can use a JavaScript function to do this, but am wondering if there is a better way?

                      Thanks, Larry

                        &myvar=1 in the url would display 1 if you put &mvte:global:myvar; in the CTGYFB page.

                            I wanted to create a sorted, unique Category select box for our FB CTGYFB page so have replaced the FB CATLIST template code with the following.

                            However I'd like to streamline the portion of the code that retrieves our categories. Hope someone can suggest a way to improve that part of the code. I've high lighted the code I'd like to streamline:

                            <mvt:item name="toolkit" param="sassign|newstring|" />
                            <mvt:item name="toolkit" param="sassign|comma|," />
                            <mvt:item name="toolkit" param="sassign|period|." />

                            <mvt:item name="toolkit" param="parentcat|pccount" />
