Upgrade to Smart Links for SEO - Much Faster

We have just released an update to our Smart Links for SEO module that improves the database access time used by the module previously. It still allows you to base your URLs on the product and category codes, or on a product or category custom field, but both methods are faster now.

If you've been experiencing speed or database problems with your site and you're using our module, we suggest you upgrade immediately. At this time, upgrades are still free (however, we may soon begin charging yearly renewal fees like some other developers have started to do).

Also the upgrade form on our site has been fixed and the downloads should work now.

PS - version 5.20 is the new, faster version. It's available through our site and the MivaCentral upgrade form too.

Suzanne, no, it's not. I'm sorry, but as Miva Merchant improved over the years, the need for add-on modules decreased to the point that it wasn't sustainable for us. I believe Sebenza had a similar module once, but I'm not sure if their's is still available either.

The other option is that we will still use our modules for customers who wish to engage with us as service customers at any level. That means we don't charge for the module, but we do the installation and configuration as a paid engagement and any support needed down the road is also paid. (Support and documentation being the long-term costs of selling modules!)
