Version 1.00 copies every field of a product in the product table. Then updates the code, name price cost fields in the newly created product.

Therefore, description, thumbnail, etc are copied.

The "heavy lifting" for us is attributes/options. I'll watch to see what you do in future versions - and thanks for replying.

What about newer features like variants and multiple images? That's missing from the similar MvClone module I have from e-Business Express.

Hmmm... Variants are quite a challenge. And image machine data, could be in that same category. I haven't been considering these as part of the base product. With enough interest though....who knows.

We are working on this now!

The plan is to have attributes covered in the next release. I received some valuable feedback about this. Other features will find their way in also. As a result, I've extended the pricing discount through Father's Day!

Obviously this is way past the Mem Day sale and that doesn't apply. Everyday discount is available at southbound.com of course. But, there is update news.

Very important Announcement: Attributes/Options are now included in the copy. Also added is access from the Product configuration screen when you "edit" a product you want to copy.

Well, I understand posting onto the end of the thread, but i have to say, my first thought when i saw this post in my "new threads" listing was....wait a minute...wasn't memorial day at least a couple of weeks ago...and why am I wearing one half of a goat suit and what is that chicken doing in here...

Seriously though...way cool. Going to have to get me some of these to plug into sites we work on. Even though we are pretty handing with import/export, and of course we can use StoreMan to do this, these functionality is just too convenient to pass up.
