No use of CAPTCHA? If not, what challenge-response test method is to determine whether or not the user is human vs a SPAM bot?

In general, we believe CAPTCHA is a user-hostile technique that sends the message to your customers that your email purity is more valuable than their time and user experience.

We use a combination of CSS and JavaScript to block spambots.

How successful is it at detecting SPAM bots? If you can detect them, you are able to count them, vs human submissions.

No counter, but to date, non of our Easy Contact users have reported SPAM and we haven't seen any on our site. This is in comparison to one support script we haven't converted which gets at least one a day and that script is buried deep on the site.
