    Authorize.net down for a lot of users

    Authorize.net is down on one of our sites with customers receiving "communication error" and "general error". It is working fine on another however. Twitter indicates that the issue is with some software updates First Data is rolling out but First Data and Authorize.net are blaming each other.

    FYI - Auth.net has fixed this.

    They told me it was specifically related to First Data Merchant Account customers, something to do with some First Data maintenance that went awry.

      It didn't impact people who's Merchant Accounts were NOT with First Data is what I was trying to say.

        First Data point the finger back at auth.net: There was an outage with a 3rd party gateway provider that has been resolved.

          Yeah I wasn't taking sides, just pointing out that it was specific to Auth.net/FDMC users and not all Auth.net users.
