You would still want the code on the page or the search engines are going to get a missing page. You mentioned "tool kit". The code for the tool kit is a bit different.

They will get the storefront instead of the broken page.

A checkbox in the "editing a category" page in Miva admin that will allow that category to be visible or hidden in the category tree.

That way a category could be active but it will not show up in the category tree if the checkbox is selected.

crozon, you can do that now already by using the custom category fields.

Just create a field to be used as a flag.
Then in your category template you just insert a simple if statement checking for the flag so you can not display the category in the category tree.

Created a called hidden and make it inactive. Then assign any categories you want to remove from the tree to the hidden category.

I know that I"ve mentioned this before, but I hink it's in a different thread.
I want to be able to control what admin users who are not superadministrators can see.
I want to assigned the ability to export products to an employee, but I don't want them to get customer info or order info.
so... basically I want the ability to control what admin users can do with the basic builtin features of the utilities and sub utilities areas of the admin.

to go along with that... it would also make sense for add on modules to be ablet o be accessed with the same security controls as the builtin miva merchant modules through the user and group stuff in the admin.

For example I love the wishlist notifications of viking coders. I want 'employee X' to be able to go into the store admin and send those notification. So he should be able to access that screen. But I do not want him to be able to change the settings of the module itself.

It would be nice to default the other options on a product search within the Miva Admin to fields other than product code and product name. i.e. if I wanted Price or Cost or both as part of the default. Makes it nice to look at like products to see if pricing looks correct at a glance.

And away to create newsletters to send to the customers that sign up.

Currently, we use third party software to send out newsletters. And it takes a lot of integration time to get the newsletter added to our Miva site.

Out of curiosity, which third party software? There is a plug-in available to integrate Constant Contact.

Evey year we do a direct mail postcard coupon promotion to all of our customers, in case someone did not receive our e-mail promotion -so far its been quite profitable.

It would sure simply things if we had the ability to export customer number assigned by MM so we can print it on the postcard. That way, when a postcard is returned from the Post Office, we can easily, and quickly find the record in MM.

More Robust Attribute Feature:

We have numerous products that are customarily purchased in 1, 6, and Dozen quantities. The 1 and 6 can ship with other items, the Dozen is typically in its own box and ships separately.

Without creating a separate product for the DOZEN quantities, we'd like to be able to designate "Ships Separately" and the dimensional weight ......both to be passed to our UPS module for those items that require it.

I don't know if this has already been brought up or even possible, but it would be nice when in the admin and you click the "View Store" button, to be taken to the page, product or category that you are working on in admin.
It would be a neat feature.

Other than the "chain link" button? But yeah, being able to click a link to go directly to a Page that you are working on would be nice.
