This is a great point. I didn't consider this potential twist.

"Although, if you have subscription services offered in your store, the concept could carry over..."

Actually, as a store owner that might have a subscription sales channel, I think I would want this feature in MivaPay.

btw: I've seen the capability elsewhere. Notably, the Paypal version, a little different take on the concept that allows the purchaser to pay from balance, bank, CC, Paypal Credit, and you can choose a priority. The feature also applies to subscriptions that can be funded by Paypal accounts.

Actually, there are even more examples that are just as good, or even better.

I get it now, I believe we give people 30 days to update the card on file before we suspend anything and I know this is not a common issue (where people ignore emails for 30 days and actually intend to pay), so while it's a good idea, I highly doubt we'll put the dev cycles into prioritizing this.

Note: The "backup" CC can be set up and not active. So, if the primary is declined you can log in and switch to the backup.

Keep in mind Scott, this is a wish for the MyMiva admin, not necessarily the Miva Merchant admin. Although, if you have subscription services offered in your store, the concept could carry over.

Ordinarily agree, but if you are on vacation traveling abroad, etc, sick, hospital, etc, its an additional safety net that protects all parties concerns. \

If I was running a SaaS or subscription service, I want as many guarantee to get paid quickly and not interrupt service. Don't see the the cons, only pros and its up to the customers if they wish to take advantage of no interrupstion of service like for domain names, etc...

Leslie, you know me very well, that is exactly what I meant. Cloudflare has it and with a PayPal option.
