    Thanks for the feedback. The way Theme Components are architected, they are not meant to be assigned to a page like you're looking for. However if you have't already done so I would highly recommend you sign up for Miva Con 2021 https://www.mivacon21.com/

    We are going to be showing a preview of Miva's new Page Builder features, which has concepts more simular to what you're asking for. You can assign components to pages and edit them right from the same screen.

    Assign Theme Components to Page Templates

    First off I'd like to start with saying the new Theme Components functionality is a great update from Miva 9 as far as the UI goes.

    There is one thing I think would make them even more user friendly.

    It would be really nice if you could assign them to page templates and by doing so it would show a theme components tab on any page template they are assigned to.

    This could give you the access to edit the theme component without leaving the page template you are working on.

    I picture it functioning a lot like assigning attribute templates to products and editing the template from the product edit screen in the catalog.

    Of course you may want to give the user a message that tells them the changes are global for those of us who like to break things... ;)
