What we are trying to do is offer a specific product at 20% off with one price group and then have a second deal where if they buy 2 or more of the same products (in pairs of 2) they get one at full price and one 50% off. What we can't seem to get to work is having these price groups work in tandem while not adding together. If a customer has 1 of this item in their basket, I want them to get it for 20% off and if they add a second one, I want one of them to be full price and the second one to be 50% off. I have tried all kinds of combinations of price group permissions and priorities, but nothing seems to work. Is there a way for this to happen?

mamorde Could something like this work:
Create two price groups:- Price Group Type of Product discount.
- Discount of 20%
- Add the product to the discounted products
- Price Group Type of Product discount
- Discount of 50%
- Maximum Item Discount Quantity value of 1
- Restrict Qualifying Quantity minimum value of 2
- Give the Price group a higher priority of the 20% off price group
- Set the 20% off price group as Excluded for Same Basket
- Add the product to the discounted products
- Add the product to the qualifying products
I was able to set this up in my development store if you want to test (I can't promise the price groups will be there forever): https://mivalearn.mivamerchantdev.co...ilet-bowl.htmlNicholas Adkins

Hey Nick this works for a single order of 1 or 2 of the same product. It doesn't seem to apply right once you add more than 2 items into your cart.
Ideally I would like to have it work to where if a customer purchased 1, it would be 20% off. If they purchase 2, the first one would go back to full price and the second would be 50% off. If they purchase 3, the first one would be full price, the second would be 50% off, and the third would be 20% off. If they purchase 4, then 2 would be full price and 2 would be 50% off. Then continue to have it continue that cycle as more of the same product are purchased.
I know that seems convoluted, but it's a very effective sales tactic for our customer base.
Thank you so much for the response!

mamorde I figured out a way to accomplish this but it would not be dynamic, meaning you would need to create price groups for every quantity level (ie if you think that they will add a quantity of 100 you will need price groups to account for the different discounts).
Going back to the example I posted above you will see that product works up to a quantity of 5. Here are the price groups I needed to create for it to work:
