Product Page Swatches -- Iron and Wool

How do I set up the product pages images so it works like the demo.

    http://ironwool.mivamerchantdev.com/...uslte-backpack

    Problem:
    1. When I click a swatch, the alternate image changes to the variant but the main image does not.
    2. On the demo the variant is the first image. on my page the main images is first.
    3. The main image does not zoom when clicked..

    So far I have.

    1. Attributes created and and color swatch images loaded
    2. Inventory Variantes created
    3. Added images for each variant.

RayYates - Do you have the same image type assigned to the main image on the parent product as to the variants?

      Hi Matt,

Your question is interesting but does not tell me how its supposed to be set up. I had the parent product set to Main and the variant products set to none.
I reversed that and set the parent to none and the others to Main. That changed the behavior (explained below) but did not fix the problem.

      New Behavior.

After loading the page, I select a swatch color, only the variant thumbnail below the main image changes. the large image does not.
When I click the variant thumbnail, the main image changes
After that I select a new color swatch and then both images change.

        Hi Ray,

The reason I asked is the default set up would be to have a Main image on the master product and then a Main image on each variant product. When set up this way, if you click a swatch, the product image should change out. If you have multiple images and only the Main image is consistent across the master and variant products, then only the Main image thumbnail will swap out as well as the product image.

          Got it thanks.

As for the image zoom not working I can't seen any specific reason for the zoom not to work and will open a support ticket.

It looks like the demo is using a plugin Magnific Popup for the image zoom. Our sites page template is using image-machine, but something is missing in the default template and its not working. Do I need to change something to use Magnific Popup instead or is it supposed to work with image-machine,

If there is a Iron and Wool Guide, please point me in that direction

              Hi Ray,

The ReadyThemes are coded to use the Magnific Popup function in place of the default image machine zoom function. The set up for Iron & Wool is the same as Suivant, Iron & Wool is just variant UI.

                Hi Matt,

I'm working on another site where the product zoom image is not working either. This one is using Suivant. Both are using unaltered templates and are set to the theme defaults.

In both cases, the default Cssui theme was installed when I started and I installed the ready theme Also Image Machine is assigned to the page.

Is image machine supposed to be removed? If there is some documentation on how Magnific Popup is supposed to be configured, please post it.

                  Hi Ray,

Image Machine should not be removed; it is still needed for all the image control functions, just not the zooming. Assuming you are using the most recent versions of the ReadyThemes, everything should be ready to go upon install. There is nothing additional that needs to be configured for Image Machine or Magnific Popup. Can you supply a link to the Suivant site you are working on?

Do you have the Product Image Custom Fields module active and have the "Image Type: Main" custom field selected on the product page?

No. I just got a message from support and they selected Image:main in the custom fields. I'm doing that now.

Awesome. You're welcome Ray. As an F.Y.I., version 2 of the ReadyThemes will contain more documentation and references in regards to third-party scripts.
