Inventory Variant images not displaying

I have not tried using inventory variants until quite recently. Even now, I am starting slowly and only modifying my simpler products. We do not sell online so this is not a real problem.

However, I have some very simple products with 3-4 sizes and modest upcharges. I have added unique images to each of the variants and assigned them as "main Image" but the images are not switching when I select the corresponding size. All the pricing is switching and working wonderfully with sale discounts switching out perfectly. The images just won't budge.

Pretty sure I am doing this correctly. I tested my technique on my development site, running Shadows 2.0, and it works great. Images swap with variant choice. Just not working in my old Iron and Wool theme.

It is possible I may have tweaked code in past but I am not sure where to start looking. Can someone point me to which part of PROD page code pulls the javascript functionality? I can try looking back in version history. Obviously, I have never touched the JS that controls this, as it is proprietary MIVA code.

Anything jump out at you? I tried to keep up with any updates but don't think there have been any changes to this. Where do I find original code?

Hi Katie,

That looks pretty stock to me. For the variants, you might try removing the image type and see if the image layout changes. If it does, then we know the function is firing.

I unassigned all variant images and a second image appeared for the variant that was set as default. Changed my default variant and the image changed to reflect that variant. But images do not change when drop down menu selection changes. Got any other ideas for places to poke into? I appreciate your time.

Hi Katie,

If they are all assigned to the same image type and they are different images, then I would recommend contacting support and have them take a look at the site.
