reset store to original, new state

Hi -
I need a reset button. How can I reset back to the original state? I have delete things I should not have and set values incorrectly and would like to start all over again.

You will probably need to ask your host to setup your store again. This will wipe the database and everything will be fresh. However if it's just your page templates, that are the problem, you can use the history dropdown to load the original page teamplate(s) and/or re-install the framework or readytheme you are using.

Do we host your site? If we are your host we can perform a site restore for you, or you can email [email protected] with the details and we take a look for you. Alternatively if you just want to start from scratch and you're OK with deleting your store you can do that by logging into your Miva admin. Click on Menu > Store Settings > Click on the more button to the right of the page, it's the button with the 4 little dots on it, and then you'll see "delete store". Click on that, it will prompt you one last time asking if you are sure you want to delete your store and then click on the red button labeled delete store.

Once you delete it you can click "add store" at the top of the page, add your desired store Code and store name and you'll be starting from scratch at that point. Be absolutely sure that is what you want done.

I looked at all your suggestions and learned a lot just reviewing them. I re-installed the ReadyTheme as Scot-ScotsScripts suggested and that worked.

Does this also work with the simple.net free dev stores?

Gordon - Phosphor Media, I don't know. I have not heard of simple.net and was not able to connect to the simple.net website so I'm in the dark here. I think I'm working on a dev store right now if that helps. Good luck! Valerie

Hello Gordon,

Yes, although the simplenet dev stores are in a different hosting environment, our core software is the same. So you can delete the store in the Miva admin interface the same exact way.
