Cart won't clear

I have a customer saying she can't clear an item from her cart.

I logged in as her using shop as customer and I can't clear the cart.
I logged out and the cart stays with me.
I logged in with a test account and same thing, still have her cart.

I thought the cart clears when you log out?

Hello Mike,

I'm pretty sure the action of logging out of a customer account doesn't empty the cart, the cart is retained until you delete the basket or it expires.
