Every CyberWeekend we run a "Buy More, Save More" promo using a "tiered discount" coupon. However this year we just discovered that something is causing the coupon to "break".
We use one coupon code and assign it to 3 different price groups. The price groups have basket subtotal restrictions in place (0-$74.99 = 10% off, $75-%149.99 = 15% off, and $150+ = 20% off.)
To my knowledge, nothing about the coupon or the price groups has changed, however now the "Basket is not eligible" message appears every time we test the coupon. I experimented by assigning each of the price groups to the coupon on their own, and they all work individually.. It's only when all 3 (or even just 2,) are assigned to the coupon together that the error appears.
I've scoured the 3 price groups for any possible conflicts but can't find any. I've tested them using an exclusion setting of "Allow Combination", as well as "Exclude for Same Item" (which is how we have always set it up in the past.)
All 3 groups are set to "Eligibility: Coupon Only", "Type: Product Discount", "Apply to all products unless excluded" , and all have valid date ranges.
I tried creating a new coupon code, and also tried creating 3 new price groups with the same settings, but still the "Basket is not eligible" error displays whenever any combination of the price groups were added to the same coupon.
Last year's coupon and price groups are on our dev site, and they DO work on the dev site. The same coupon and price groups are not working on the live site. I went through setting by setting comparing the dev site price groups to the live site price groups and everything seemed identical. I'm at a loss..
Any suggestions about what might be causing the conflict?
(Additional Info: The dev site is running 10.00.02, and the live site is running 10.00.03)
