Another PayPal Commerce Question

I jumped right in and started setting this up for a site. Then I noticed the expected Credit Card selection wasn't displaying - just the PayPal method. I decided to circle back to the module's Status

Active and ready to accept payments via PayPal. The ability to accept credit card payments is currently pending.

Is this something the store owner needs to "apply" for?

Another perhaps related question. The buttons that are being offered are slightly different than the setup docs. This site does not have the PayPal Credit button instead, it's "Pay Later".

Also, does the black Debit or Credit Card button have to be there? Is there a way to remove it?

I asked internally and was pointed at:

The key word 'card' should disable that, and on any Miva Merchant screen where the paypal items are assigned, there should be the option to add that value to disable funding sources:

I added "card" to the Disable Funding Sources and it removed all of the buttons.

Ah ha! I am used to adding a comma after an item, even if it is the only item. I had actually added "card," instead of "card". When I add "card" without the comma it works as advertised. Thanks!

Oh crap, I answered this incorrectly. I those this was regarding getting rid of one of the buttons. Let me go look and get back to you. I am soooooo sorry.

No, it has not gone away. I suspect this might be something from within the PayPal account itself. It would be something I would not have control over.

I had to update my Paypal > Account Settings > Website Payments profile when I upgraded to PayPal Commerce.

From the PayPal portal, do I need to update the IPN Instant Payment Notification setting? The url is blank; should it be INVC page?

Did you ever get an answer to this? The IPN thing.

Regarding my original question about the "pending" message, all you had to do is go into your PayPal account and update your Website Payments profile to get the message to change to

Linked – Active and ready to accept payments

I never got my question answered but I suppose that the notification is being sent through the PayPal Commerce's module API access with PayPal.

PayPal has been working fine.
