    CSS Resources in Branches

I'm Not sure what's happening here.

I created a branch from a copy of production. Default stuff. The production branch was based on the CSSUI default. Then I applied the default Shadows theme. I need to add the same CSS resource to the new branch, because it doesn't exist yet in the new branch. Yes, trying to use the same CODE. I was able to add the resource using a different code.

For this to be truly a different development branch, IMO, I need to be able to have the same resource code. The CSS file was added to the branch with the expectation of editing the CSS file where it's an independent version.

I am also assuming the same issue exists for JS resources.
UPDATE: it is the same issue.

    Thoughts?

CSS and JS files from different branches are available on all branches. The only difference is that some are "Active" for the branch and others are not. Active files are the ones that apply to that specific branch. So if you wanted to add a CSS file with the same code, you just need to use the filters at the top to show all Resources (Active is the default filter so other files are hidden to keep things organized). The you can make the file active you want to make changes to. From here you can edit it and make any changes you need for your specific branch which will eventually get pushed live.

This turns out to be a really good question - now to tag mine on. I usually download the CSS files, then create a "custom" file that I include. With the recent frameworks (Colossus and Shadows) I've been editing the theme-styles.css file. Now how do I do this when Branches are involved? Is it only going to be available via the admin? Or is there a unique place for these files that I can find them via FTP?

In my experience, the files have been in a branch specific subfolder in the mm5 directory. The file path will show in the resource list if you have it selected to display.
