I suspect the answer to my question is yes which is why I wish there was a way to post links to the forum with a "nofollow" attached to them. I have a site that I would like to post the branch link to but it doesn't need to be spider by Google.

In the dev branch, add No Index/No Follow directives as a global. Google typically adheres to them. Can't say about other domains.Bruce Golub
