The new v3 module is in place and I'm about to "turn up the volume" to see if it will now stop the bogus account creations. Will keep ya'll posted.

Question - when it says "Reason: Empty reCAPTCHA response" is that because it was set to 0 during the "warm up" period?Leslie Kirk

ok - I installed the v3 reCAPTCHA module - thank you all for that suggestion. I also tried a version of Bruce's approach and went to customers and did an advanced search just on the state of Alaska (AK) as it seemed that most of the bot junk was under that state being the first choice. I am getting a run-time error when I tried to delete the junk customers. Can anyone help with this issue?Attached FilesDana Evans

Here is the code I get when I try and delete just one junk customer:
Code:Miva Merchant returned an invalid response. Excuse me for guessing, hope I'm not way off ... I think the filename, couponrd.mvc, is the old coupon module by Emporium Plus, right? The "table doesn't exist" error message suggests that something went wrong with it; maybe you tried to uninstall it and were only partly successful.
Hope that's helpful --Kent Multer

Yes seems to be that module. I don't use coupons anymore so will delete and see if that resolves it! Thank you Kent!
Edited to add that I get this warning when I try to uninstall that module:
Code:ErrorModule 'Coupon Redemption' is in use by one or more orders, and cannot be removed. Module 'Coupon Redemption' is in use by one or more Store Morph Items. The store has been configured not to allow removal of modules used by Store Morph Items. Below is a list of the Items that reference Module 'Coupon Redemption' and the pages on which they are referenced: Item 'couponrd': Your Eliza B & Leather Man Ltd Order has Shipped (EMAIL_SHIPMENT_SHIPPED) Shopping Cart (BASK)

Yes, I thought something like that might happen. You may need an experienced developer who can do the "surgery" on the database to finish uninstalling the module. As a work-around you can try deactivating the module; that may keep it from interfering with your day-to-day operations.Kent Multer

fair enough, never used miva's recaptcha implementation. the standalone is still form id (at least the last one i did). what's interesting to me is that on one of our client's that i just happened to have open, the form action for ACAD is "ICST" (unless its to also create a wish list, then its "ICST,IWSH,MAWL".
don't know if that helps at all.Bruce Golub
