    Category Coupons - Part Deux

    I have been trying for months now to get the Marketing Price Groups Coupon to behave when the customer opts to remove the coupon from the basket. I've reached out to support but seem to be at an impasse in trying to get this issue resolved.

    The Price Group for the coupon is a

    Type: Product Discount

    Discount: 50%

    Restrict to Basket Subtotal $100.00 (we have gone back and forth with this needing to be Restrict to Qualifying Subtotal doesn't work)

    Display Discount in Basket is checked

    Discounted Category is assigned.


    For testing purposes, I added 2 products from the category, and 1 product not in the category, and made sure the total for the 2 products assigned to the category exceeded $100.00.

    I applied the coupon in the BASK and it applied correctly. At this point, everything looks good in the basket.

    The store owner reminded me that she has customers that will change their minds and remove a product from the cart.

    I removed one of the products that is part of the Price Group discount. I expected to see the coupon disappear (because the qualifying total dropped below $100.00) but instead, the coupon remained because of the "Restrict to Basket Subtotal". The store owner could deal with this issue but that's not the worst of it.

    If you re-add the product you removed (the customer decided they really did want it) the discount gets nuts. The line item will show the discount but it is not applied to the Subtotal

    Note - if the basket Subtotal drops below the $100 minimum it will remove the coupon.

    I've been working this problem on a password-protected dev site so sharing a link won't work. I have rolled the Basket Contents code back to the original Suivant Ready Theme coding (to rule out concerns that some tweaks may have been causing the issue).

    Leslie,

    I think this is something we've experienced and have reported. If it's the same bug that we've run into the fix is supposedly included in 10.07 from what I've been told.

      I'll ask Miva Support if this is a bug. We have been going in circles on it for a month now. In the mean time, the store owner is desperate to run this sale...
